Synopsis:

There’s a girl named Valerie, she is a student at the California art institute. Valerie is a quiet girl wo doesn’t talk much, her strange style makes Valerie being hated by her friends at campuss. Until one day there was a new student in her lass named Jessie, Valerie and Jessie become friens, who would have thought Valerie turned iut to have feelings towards Jessie who already has a girlfriend. Valerie always trying to get jasper attention and love in one way or another. One heart and half a working heart and a pair and a half pairs of lungs that working, sharing their love till the end.

Setting:

California art institute,canteen,toilet,hospital,city park,Hawaii,airport,backyard,valerie’s house,jessie’s house,graveyard.

First setting

Mr.smith: students, let me introduce you our new student and your new friend from London, Jessie. He will take art classes with all of you, so I hope you guys can accept Jessie and making friends with him. Go ahead Jessie introduce yourself infront of the others”.

Jessie: hi guys, my name is Orlando jessie hale, I just moved here from London, I hope we can be a friends

Mr.smith: alright Jessie you can sit beside Valerie(pointing the seat next to valerie).

*Jessie walked toward Valerie and Valerie watched every single step of Jessie*

Jessie: (sit) hi Valerie (look at Valerie)

Valerie : hi (smiling)

jessie: I hope we can be a friends.

Valerie : (nodding) yes of course

Second setting (canteen)

The bel rang a sign of break time, Valerie walked to the canteen and picked up cereal,milk, and apple. At the time of sitting, Giselle, her classmate pulls up the seat, Valerie fell and the food that Valerie holds fell scattered on her body and the floor.

Giselle mocking at her.

Giselle: ohh you look so miserable and mess up Valerie. No one will help you, even Jessie, don’t put too much hope you little witch!!!

Valerie stood up and walked to the toilet, in the toilet Valerie cried. After school, Valerie saw Jessie sitting in the park with headphones in his ears, Valerie likes Jessie since the first time they met. Valerie loves jessie’s dark brown hair, blue-green eyes, his pointy nose. Without thinking, Valerie took out her sketch book and started painting jessie’s face.

Third setting (valerie’s house)

Valerie lay in her room looking at the painting she had made.

Valerie: how lucky jessie’s girlfriend. I wish I can be his girlfriend.

In the morning at campus

Forth setting (classroom)

With her gothic style, Valerie wearing black thick chocker with crop tee shirts plus mini skirts,black legging and nlack ankled boots, Valerie wrote a valentine card for Jessie, suddenly Giselle recognize and take the card from Valerie, she read it with a loud voice in front of the class and mocking Valerie.

Giselle: “oh my my, someone is in love, Valerie gives valentine’s card for Jessie”.

Everyone in the class laughs at Valerie until Jessie appears, Giselle placed the card on valerie’s table and left the class. Jessie knew for sure that Giselle was mocking and bully Valerie again, Jessie pulled out her hand and took her to canteen.

Fifth setting (canteen)

Jessie is upset over Giselle’s attitude towards Valerie, Jessie sure there must be something wrong. Jessie asked about this to Valerie.

Valerie: why did you bring me here?

Jessie: let’s make it clear val, what makes Giselle did that to you? Why she always mocking you and bully you?

Valerie : about that, Giselle and I were in the same high school, we were bestfriends,so a lot of boys are interested in me, Giselle turned to very angry, Giselle threatens me if I don’t look weird, then she will tell her parents to buy my parents’ café. Since that, I look like this, because I don’t want to lose my bestfriend, but Giselle always stay away from me in everyday, until now she hates me.

Jessie ; so you and Giselle were a best friend? And now she hates you just because you more popular than her. That is unfair val! Now I must go and give her a lesson for her deeds!

Valerie : jesse, you don’t have to! Its okay, I’m fine.

Jessie went to see Giselle who was in class with her friends, Jessie states that Valerie is his girlfriend, so Giselle cant hurt Valerie,if Giselle try to, jess will absolutely give Giselle a lesson.

Sixth Setting (class room)

Jessie: Giselle! I know you hate Valerie because she was so popular in high school right? You got so jealous because every guys in high school interested with her, you threatened her if she wont look weird then youll tell your parent to buy Valerie parents; café, aren’t you? Shame on you Giselle! Now Valerie is my girlfriend, you cant hurt her without hurting me! Don’t try to do something bad at her or ill do that to you too!

Giselle: yah you right! She always get what she wants and im not! That’s so unfair! She got the boys’ attention and im not! So I want her to feel what I feel, one way or another!

Without Jessie knowing, Valerie following him, and caught the conversation between Giselle and Jessie, Valerie feel so shy because Jessie tells Giselle that she is jessie’s girlfriend, her smile open wide. Jessie left the class and see Valerie in the door, Jessie pulls valerie’s hand and takes her to a park near city.jessie and Valerie sit down and Valerie asks about her being jessie’s girlfriend.

Seventh setting (city park)

Valerie: is that true that im your girlfriend? (smiling)

Jessie: no val, im sorry, im just joking, I just cant slah don’t want to see you get mocked by Giselle, so I told her that you are my girlfriend, beside that, youre like my sister and we’re best friend don’t us?

Suddenly Valerie stood up and scolded Jessie and expressed her feelings.

Valerie: what? You just joking? Really jesse? Do you know how I feel? I really like you, I love you since the first time we met, and this is the answer for my feelings? Youre evil.

Valerie ran out and Jessie just sat looking at Valerie.

The next day, Valerie received a message from jessie’s mother that Jessie was hospitalized for his heart attack. Without thinking much, Valerie went to the hospital and saw Jessie in the cvcu room, Valerie as jessie’s mom since when Jessie suffered in heart desease. His mother answered, Jessie never told about his illness to anyone beside his parents because he did not want to burden anyone with his illness. Valerie and jessie’s mom just cried together. Its been 3days Jessie in hospital, suddenly Jessie wake up and see Valerie who slept beside him, and saying thank you for taking care him.finally Jessie is allowed to go home, of course Valerie accompanied Jessie.

Eight setting (jessie’s house)

Valerie and jessie sitting in the living room, valerie told Jessie that since Jessie reprimanded Giselle, until now Giselle never interrupted valerie again, and Jacob, Jessie’s friend always accompany her at the time when Jessie unconscious in the hospital.

Valerie: you know jesse, Giselle never bothered me again, thank you for helping me out, and im so sorry for what happened in the park. I really sorry.

Jessie: its okay val, I don’t want to lose you, I love you too, you know, I don’t have any girlfriend. I only like you. I love you val.

Valerie: thank you jesse, that’s what I want to hear. Btw, I love you so much.

Ninth setting (valerie’s room)

At the night, in valerie’s room, while sleeping, valerie wake up and felt the pain in her lungs and she cant breathe, she yelled calling her parents, they rushed to the hospital.

Ten setting(hospital)

Valerie wakes up and sees her mom sitting and sleeping beside her, she wakes her mom up, and asks what happened.

Valerie: mom, whats happened?

Valerie’s mom: the doctor said, the water is trying to fill your lungs, so they suck it out, luckily they succeed, after this you have to take medication everyday for the rest of your life, because the water weakens your lung function system, so now your lungs is not 100% functioning normally, im so sorry val.

Valerie: it’s okay mom, you don’t need to apologize, I love you.

Valerie’s mom: btw hunny, Jessie is outside the room, do you want me to call him?

Valerie: yes of course.

Valerie condition is improved, valerie is allowed to go home by the doctor, of course there’s Jessie who accompanied valerie. Arriving at home, Jessie take valerie to eat sandwiches in the park near valerie’s house.

11^th setting(bone park)

Arriving at the park, valerie says that her life may not be long, so valerie wants to spend the rest of her life with Jessie, Jessie just smiling at her.

Valerie: jess, my life might not be long, so I want you to accompany me in the rest of my life.

Jessie: its an honour to accompany you my love.(smiling at her)

They realized that the rest of their lives would not be long over, they decide to go to Hawaii, of course with valerie’s doctor permission, and valerie’s mother must come along to tae care valerie if something bad suddenly happens.

Jessie: my heart not fully working, your lungs too. We both know our tie is running out, why don’t we go to the place and make it be the last trip for us.

Valerie: that’s a good idea! Let’s go to Hawaii!

12nd setting (valerie’s house)

At the dining room, valerie talk to her parents about her trip with Jessie to Hawaii.

Valerie’s parents were shocked, they said it was very risky, but the other side, they realized that this could be the last request and the last trip for valerie, because they know the doctor said that valerie is a grenade that can explode in anytime.

Valerie: can I go to Hawaii with Jessie? This might be my last trip. I know mom, dad, I’m a grenade, I can explode in any time.

Valerie’s dad: baby that is too risky, we wont something bad happened to you while we’re not around you.

Valerie’s mom: but baby, if you forced us, okay, we’ll talk to doctor marrie about this.

Valerie: and im not go to Hawaii just me and Jessie, I want you to go with us too mom.

Valerie’s mom: okay sweetheart, tomorrow we’ll meet doctor marrie.

Valerie: thank you mom,dad.

13rd setting (hospital)

In the next day, valerie and her mom went to the hospital, made appointment with doctor marrie, doctor marrie did not allowed this trip, but valerie said this might be her last trip.

Valerie’s mom: how about me joining her trip?

Doctor: we cant ma’am, its too risky for her for us, we wont take that risk.

Valerie: this might be my last trip before I die so please let me go to Hawaii.

Doctor marrie still not allowing this trip.

14th setting(valerie’s room)

Valerie was reading her favorite book, suddenly her mother came in and paced a piece of paper containing flight information for three passanger flight destination to Hawaii.

Valerie read the letter and shocked, she asked it to her mom, is it real or not.

Valerie: we’re going to Hawaii?

Valerie’s mom: yeah, we’re going to Hawaii, call him (smiling)

Valerie: thanks mom (smile wide opened)

Valerie’s mom: everyone knows about it, doctor marrie,hospital,professor, everone knows.

Valerie hugged her mother and say thank you. Her mother left the room, valerie called Jessie and asked Jessie about his validation passport, Jessie said yes and valerie said that they are going to Hawaii next Friday, everyone knew and doctor marrie knew bout this trip

Valerie: hi jess, is your passport still valid?

Jessie: yes, why? What happened? You look so happy

Valerie: about our trip, yeah, we’re going to Hawaii, everyone knew,doctor marrie knew.

Jessie: yea!!!!!! We’re going to Hawaii!!

15^th setting(airport)

Valerie’s dad hugs valerie,valerie’s mom and Jessie, he says have fun and don’t forget to call him when they’ve arrived in Hawaii.

Valerie’s dad: let me know if you guys have arrived in Hawaii, have fun you guys!

Valerie: okay dad.

16^th setting (airport of Hawaii)

Valerie’s mom calling her husband to inform him that they re arrived safely.

Valerie amazed by how beautiful Hawaii is.

Jessie: please wink your eyes so I know you’re in there

Valerie: jesse, this is amazing, I don’t wanna go home.

They are spending their time in Hawaii for 3 days, and back to California.

17^th setting(California airport)

Valerie’s father picked them up at the airport and took them back home.

In the next day, Jacob,valerie and Jessie went to the city park, they made funeral speech for valerie.

18^th setting(city park)

Jacob, valerie and Jessie sit down on the ground and Jacob start to read his speech for valerie.

Jacob: this is my funeral speech for valerie, I’m not close to valerie, because I rarely meet her, but one thing for sure, valerie is a very nice person, Jessie cant stop talking about her, there’s no day without talking about her. Thank you valerie for your advices for me when im down down down, thank you for being there for Jessie and thank you for coming into our life,

Jessie: this is my funeral speech for valerie, valerie is a nice person, even when people hurt her, she never takes revenge, I am lucky to have her, I am lucky she is there in my life, thank you for the infinity you gave me val, thank you for our limited time together, thank you for whatever we have experienced so far, I love you.

Valerie: I love you too Jessie.

19^th setting (valerie’s house)

They returned to their homes, at night, valerie’s parents got a call from jessie’s parents, jessie’s mom crying saying Jessie was collapse and now he is in the hospital

Jessie’s mom: hi, I want to tell you that Jessie was collapsed at his room, don’t worry he’ll be fine(crying).

Valerie’s mom: oh my god, im so sorry, I’ll let valerie know about it, I’ll tell valerie.

20^th setting(hospital)

Valerie rushes to the hospital and sees Jessie lying weakly unconscious in the cvcu room, valerie just cry and hug jessie’s mother, jessie’s mother said that the veins in jessie’s heart are 80% clogged, he will become weaker and he could died.

Jessie’s mother: the doctor said 2 of the 3 blood vessels in jessie’s heart are 80% clogged, after this Jessie will becoe weaker and could have died suddenly. Doctor advise to do surgery as soon as possible before the two blood vessels clog 100%.

Valerie: no jessie, you cant leave me, mom, please do the surgery, I don’t want to lose him (crying)

Jessie’s mom: I told the doctor just do the surgery, do what’s best for Jessie, you don’t have to be worry Val, everything will be fine, just keep on praying for him.

Valerie: yeah, of course I will.

The next day, doctorgives the test result, and say that they cant do the surgery because of his weakness physical condition, if still doint it, Jessie can be killed because this surgery including major surgery. and that need to be guarded by Jessie is his activity, better for Jessie to reduce physical activity like playing basketball.

21^st setting(valerie’s house)

The next day, Jacob comes to valerie’s house and gives valerie a letter, but valerie can only open the letter when Jessie is dead. Jacob knocks the door and valerie opens the door, then asks Jacob what makes Jacob coming to her house.

Jacob: .(knocking the door)

Valerie: (open the door) hi jack, whats happened?

Jacob: here a letter for you from Jessie, but please open it when Jessie already passed away, that is jessie’s order.

Valerie: what are you talking about?

Jacob: I don’t know val, Jessie just asked me to give it to you.

Valerie: he’s getting weird, his behviour, he don’t even picked up my phone, been 3 days he didn’t text me.

Jacob: maybe he wanted to take a rest, you need to understand his condition right now.

Jacob left valerie’s house, and went back home.

At her room, valerie really want to open the letter because she is so curious about the letter, but he promised Jacob that she will open the letter right after Jessie passed away. So she keep the letter in her closet.

The next day, valerie decides to visit Jessie to check on jessie’s situation.

22^nd setting(jessie’s house)

Valerie knocked on the door and jessie’s mother opened the door to let her in.

Jessie’s mother: hi valerie, its been a long time, how are you? We misses you.

Valerie: hi ma’am, im fine, I miss you guys too. So where is Jessie?

Jessie’s mother: he’s upstairs, in his room, he have been waiting for you.

Valerie walks to jessie’s room, when she gets there, valerie sees Jessie sitting in a wheelchair staring out the window.

Jessie: you’re here

Valerie: yeah, I miss you, so I decided to come here.

Jessie: do you know? Im getting weaker and weaker, I’m a useless.

Valerie: don’t say like that, you still my favorite person, you still my Jessie.

Jessie: come here

Valerie walked towards Jessie nd sit next to him.

They spend that day together, they laugh and smile.

23^rd setting(valerie’s room)

Valerie was asleep and suddenly valerie’s home phone rng, valerie’s mother picked up the phone and turned out it was a call from jessie’s parents.

Valerie’s mother: (picked up the phone) hello, this is grace’s recident.

Jessie’s mother: (cry) its me, jessie’s mom, Jessie is dead, he just went to get a drink and he fell, we checked him and he is dead.

Valerie’s mom was so shocked and ran to valerie’s room hugged her and cried, valerie became confused, her mother told her everything, valerie shocked and cried.

24^th setting(graveyard)

The next day at the jessie’s funeral, valerie got a chance to say her last greeting for Jessie, she read the speech she once made for Jessie.

Valerie: there is a quote from Jessie that I like, “if you want to see the rainbow then you have to deal with the rain”. Jessie is a nice man, I’m lucky to have him in my lif, he always protect me, when he is in cvcu, I look at his face and I said what would be if there is no Jessie in my life, thanks to jessie’s parents who have bring Jessie in this life, so we can met each other. Even though Jessie is gone, I will always love him, and I will never forget him, I know youre happy up there jesse, I will always keep our love, I will remember all the memories we have made.

The funeral is over, valerie goes to her car and cries, Jacob comes in and gets into valerie’s car.

Jacob: I know how sad you are, but you need to move on, don’t be too long in sadness, you have your life to live. We became friends since we were kids, because our parents are in one workplace, Jessie is a man who does not want to tell people about his sadness, which he only wants everyone who knows him to be happy with his presence, unti the last moment he did not want to bother anyone, you are lucky to have him val.

Valerie: I know Jack, I just still can not accept all this. Let me alone, I want to calm myself.

Jacob gets out of valerie’s car, valerie went home, in her room, her father comes over and embraces valerie, he said that he is very sorry for her loses.

Valerie’s dad: hi, can I come in (walk towards valerie and sit)

Valerie: hi dad, (wiping her tears)

Valerie’s dad: I know you’re in sadness, you have to get up and move on, this is not the end of your story, there is a long journey waiting for you, I’m sure Jessie also wants the same thing.

Valerie just smile at her dad, and suddenly she remembered about the letter that Jacob has given to her, valerie stood up and took the letter and opened it as she walkes to her backyard.

25^th setting(back yard)

valerie was lying on the backyard, he read the letter, pparently it was a letter from Jessie, valerie wiping her tears.

Jessie: this is a letter for valerie, hi valerie, when reading this maybe I’m no longer here, I’m happy to meet you, I know you must be crying at this time, you cant cry sweetheart, remember that I always be there beside you in every step you take, this is an honor to be yours, I fell in love many times, but only with you I feel the real love where I can be myself, I’m grateful for all the things we’ve done, I’m so happy, thank you valerie, please change your style, I want you to be yourself, keep stepping forward, never be satisfied with something, go to new places and pray for me, honestly, I want to always be there by your side, I want to sped the rest of my life with you, but God have another plan for me, thanks for the smile you’ve given to me, thanks for the love you’ve given to me, Hawaii will always be the most beautiful place we have ever visited, I will always love you, I will always take care of you from up here, I will always be by your side in every step you take, I love you valerie, thank you for the happy days you gave.. I love you…

Valerie hugged the letter and smiled

Valerie: I know you will always here by my side jesse, I know you will always love me, thank you for everything, I will continue my life, I will go to a new place, I will always take you with me, you are here jesse, you’re in my heart, I love you too jesse, and I will always love you…

Valerie smiled and stood, walking into her house…
